Hello, World. I’m Dave Bailey, and Apparently I Have a Real Estate Blog Now.
Real estate, real life, and figuring out where you belong in Tampa Bay.
Well, hello there.
If you’ve somehow found your way to this little corner of the internet, welcome! I’m David Bailey REALTOR® serving Tampa Bay, including Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.
And yes, apparently I have a real estate blog now.
Hahahahaha.
I promise not to fill it with generic articles about how now is a great time to buy a house.
Because sometimes it is.
Sometimes it isn’t.
And sometimes the better question is whether you should be buying a house in the first place.
A Little About David Bailey Realtor
Before becoming a REALTOR®, I spent several years working in real estate closings. I’ve seen more than a thousand transactions from the paperwork side of the table.
These days, I also work in real estate photography and media through HYCREE, which means I spend a ridiculous amount of time driving around Tampa Bay, walking through houses, exploring neighborhoods, and occasionally wondering what they’re building behind that suspiciously large construction fence.
I call it being professionally nosy.
It’s a surprisingly useful professional skill.
But all that time out in the field has taught me something important.
A house can look absolutely beautiful in photographs and still be completely wrong for the person buying it.
And a neighborhood that looks perfect on a Saturday afternoon might feel very different on an ordinary Tuesday morning.
That’s why I believe good real estate guidance should go well beyond bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage.
What You’ll Find Here
This blog is where I’ll share what I’m learning, what I’m seeing, and what I think buyers, sellers, and homeowners should know.
We’ll talk about buying your first home without losing your mind, selling a property without leaving money on the table, understanding the true costs of homeownership, and navigating the sometimes confusing realities of Florida real estate.
We’ll also explore neighborhoods, new construction communities, interesting listings, and the little details that don’t always make it into a property description.
And because I can’t seem to drive past a construction site without asking questions, you’ll probably hear about some of those projects too.
For more in-depth local reporting, development news, and community insights, I’ve also created Tampa Signal.
Think of Tampa Signal as the place to learn what’s happening around Tampa Bay, and this website as the place to figure out what those changes might mean for your next real estate decision.
You Don’t Have to Be Ready to Buy or Sell
One thing I want to make clear from the beginning:
You don’t have to be ready to do anything.
Maybe you’re thinking about buying your first home two years from now.
Maybe you’re wondering whether to sell the house you’ve lived in for twenty years.
Maybe you’re relocating to Florida and trying to figure out why two neighborhoods ten minutes apart can feel like completely different worlds.
Or maybe you just enjoy looking at houses.
I get it. I do that for a living.
My goal isn’t to pressure you into a transaction. It’s to help you understand your options so that when the time comes to make a decision, you can make it with confidence.
So, Hello, World.
I’m glad you’re here.
This website will grow over time. There will be guides, neighborhood explorations, practical advice, and probably a few stories from the road.
Some will be serious. Some will be funny. Hopefully, most will be useful.
And if something I share makes you stop and think, “Hey, that’s interesting,” then we’re off to a good start.
If it eventually makes you think, “Dave, can you help me figure this out?”
Even better.
That’s what I’m here for.
See you around Tampa Bay.

Helping you find more than a house. Helping you figure out where you belong.
Well, the website is officially alive!
Now I’m curious: If you could ask a REALTOR® one question and get a straight answer without a sales pitch, what would you ask?
Buying, selling, home values, neighborhoods, new construction, or why Florida houses have so many different kinds of insurance… it’s all fair game.
Drop your question below. Some of the best ones might even become future articles or videos.
